1. Who we are
Estellar is a product of Lienna, 1690 Rue de la Caverie, 27680 Trouville-la-Haule, France. Lienna is the controller of your personal data: it decides why and how it is used.
For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to privacy@lienna.eu or by post to the address above. Lienna has not appointed a data protection officer, as none is required for its activities.
2. What we collect
- When you join the waiting list: your email address, your first name if you give it, the language of the site, your consent choices and when you made them, and how you joined (form, Google or X).
- If you continue with Google or X: the name, email address, profile picture link and email-verified status that the provider shares with us.
- If you answer the optional survey: your answers, for example your city, age group, how and how often you travel, how you book, what you find hardest when booking, how appealing voice booking sounds, how you heard about us, and any words you type under “other”. Answers are saved as you go, so answers you give are kept even if you do not finish.
- When you visit the site: your IP address, the country it indicates, your device and browser type, your browser languages, the page you came from and campaign tags in the link. With your confirmation only, a city suggested from your approximate location (see section 9).
- If you are invited to the voice playground: your invitation details, the status of your conversations and the answers you give in them. Your voice is processed only to transcribe and answer you, and the recording is not kept. The guide’s spoken replies are produced from text by a speech service; your voice is never sent to it.
We do not ask for sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions and similar). Please do not include such information in free-text answers.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Managing the waiting list and early access, and telling you when Estellar is ready | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you join |
| Analysing interest in Estellar from sign-ups and survey answers, as aggregated statistics and individually, to choose people to invite to try early versions | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you join and when you answer the survey |
| Sending Estellar news and offers | Your separate, optional consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Running the voice playground for invited people | Your consent when you accept the invitation (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse (bot check, technical logs) | Our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping proof of consent and meeting legal obligations | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by writing to us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails. This does not affect what was done before.
4. What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data, and we never share it with other companies for their own marketing.
- We do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Choosing who to invite first is a decision made by our team, using your answers.
5. Who receives your data
Only the Lienna team members who need it, and the service providers below, which process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:
| Provider | What it does for us | Location |
|---|---|---|
| innosol online OÜ | Design, development, hosting operations and maintenance of estellar.eu, its admin console, survey and voice playground | Estonia (EU) |
| OVH SAS (OVHcloud) | Server hosting and database; AI speech endpoints used by the voice playground | France (EU) |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Network delivery, DNS, security and bot protection (Turnstile), staff sign-in (Access), approximate location used for the city suggestion | United States (global network) |
| SIA Inbokss (Inbox.eu) | Sending invitation and service emails | Latvia (EU) |
| ElevenLabs | Text-to-speech in the voice playground: receives only the guide’s generated reply text, never a participant’s voice (invited participants only) | United States / EU |
If you choose to sign in with Google or X, that provider processes your data under its own privacy policy. We may disclose data to public authorities when the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Our data is stored in the EU. Some providers (Cloudflare and, for the voice playground only, ElevenLabs) may process data in the United States. These transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Waiting-list details | Until Estellar’s public release, and at most 12 months after you joined, unless you leave earlier |
| Survey answers | Used for analysis until release (planned in about 6 months), then deleted or anonymised; at most 12 months after you answered |
| IP addresses | 30 days |
| News and offers (if you agreed) | Until you unsubscribe, or 3 years after your last contact with us |
| Proof of your consent | As long as needed to prove it, up to 5 years |
Anonymised statistics, which no longer identify anyone, may be kept after these periods.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Under French law you can also give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to privacy@lienna.eu. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr.
9. The city suggestion
The survey may suggest your city from your approximate location, which Cloudflare derives from your connection (it is never your precise location, and we do not use your device’s location). The suggestion is saved only if you confirm it or choose another city, and you can skip the question.
10. Cookies
The site uses only cookies needed for it to work: a session cookie, a security (CSRF) cookie, your language choice, and Cloudflare cookies used for security and the bot check. These do not require your consent under French rules. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we count visits without cookies, using an anonymous identifier that changes every day.
11. Security
Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), email addresses are stored encrypted, access to personal data is limited to authorised people and logged, and our providers are bound by contract to protect your data.
12. Minors
Estellar is intended for people aged 15 and over. If you are under 15, please do not join the waiting list.
13. Changes
We will update this policy if our practices change, show the date of the last update at the top, and inform waiting-list members by email of any significant change.
